I cannot tell you much about how I was raised, except that my parents were both highly educated and ambitious. I was raised in a household where English was the main language, and my parents wanted me to learn English as much as possible. I was also raised in a household where I was expected to excel in school, but not win awards. My parents wanted me to become a doctor or engineer, but not win an award for it.
When I was young, I didn’t pay attention to Jungian personality types at all. I didn’t even know what Jungian personality types were.
However, once I entered elementary school, I started to hear the word “introvert” more frequently. It made sense that introverts were talked about more than extroverts, because extroverts couldn’t be introverts.
(Is this an INTJ thing? I’m not sure.)
