Madeline Whittier personality type is INFP, but I don't think it needs to be said that she is anything but energetic and optimistic. When this book opens, Madeline is in her last year of high school, and she's got a boyfriend, a crush on a boy she's never met in real life, and a best friend who is in love with her.
This book is a funny and light read. I was familiar with the title and wanted to read it because I liked the TV show in which the main character's name is Madeline. I wasn't expecting much in the way of character development, but I was pleasantly surprised. Madeline is an intelligent girl who loves to analyze and question things. It's easy to understand why she's so popular.
The story isn't overly complicated, and Madeline's character is pretty much what you'd expect from the character type she is. She's quite mature for her age, and she will not hesitate to call someone out on their bullshit if she thinks they're being unfair or acting like an asshole. She often challenges her mother on some of her parenting choices, especially on the topic of how to handle her brother's behavior.
