Mimi-Rose Howard personality type is INFJ, but she is also an ENFP, and I am an ENFP. The problem with that is that the INFJ personality type is usually more private and reserved, so there is a difference in the way we cope with our sensitivities. INFJs often feel more comfortable presenting their sensitive side, but I think it’s important to embrace where you are, and not to be afraid of showing who you really are, even if it makes you unpopular. I’ve learned that there is a huge difference between having a reserved personality and keeping people at a distance.
I’ve talked a lot about how I’ve struggled with depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues in my childhood and early adulthood, and how they have been connected with my relationship issues and how hard it was to overcome them. I’ve also written about my experiences of dating men who weren’t understanding of my mental health issues, and therefore made me feel as though I had to hide everything about myself in order to be liked by them. I had to lie about everything: about my feelings, about my thoughts, about my dreams and goals, about my desires and wants.
