Simmons has used his intelligence to his advantage throughout his NBA career, which began in 2003. He was drafted by the 76ers after playing three years at the University of Kentucky. That first year, he wasn’t able to play due to injury, but still ended up being a key part of the team’s playoff run. Even in his rookie season, Simmons had a significant impact. He was named Rookie of the Year after averaging 7.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Simmons started all 82 games as a sophomore in 2005-06, and went on to be named to the All-NBA Second Team in his second year. In his fourth season, he was named to the All-NBA First Team after averaging 20.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.
After four seasons in Philadelphia, Simmons was traded to the Boston Celtics in 2016. However, injuries caused him to miss 20 games over the next two seasons, which saw his numbers drop significantly from previous numbers.
Bruce Simmons is a minor character in the SuperMarioLogan series. He sounds almost exactly like a burglar who first appeared in Home Alone. It's unknown that the burglar is him. For some reason, he was revived in Jeffy's Home Alone! and later killed by Drawing Jeffy because of a bowling ball hitting him in the head. It's unknown but he is also the main antagonist of Jealous Brooklyn Guy! and Jeffy's Pet Dinosaur!. Similarly to Brooklyn Guy, he has multiple jobs, though not as much as him, such as a police officer (his main job), a zookeeper, a "monkeyologist", etc.
