The ESFJ is the one who is getting the attention and the orientation from their parents and from their family. And then they’re going out into the world and they’re getting experience. And they’re developing themselves in many ways.
And often, they take on a lot of the characteristics of their parents, which may make them feel as though they’re being pushed into a mold that they don’t want to be in. But it’s really difficult for them to break out of that mold, because they were so closely related with their family that it’s almost like they’re still inside it.
So they often do feel as though they’re being controlled by their family, and they often feel as though it’s a curse to be an ESFJ, because they’re not ultimately an individual. So there’s a lot of conflict for them.
