Judith Mossman personality type is ISTJ, which is a "somewhat rare" type. My ISTJ husband has been consistently most helpful to me, even though he is a bit distant. It's been most helpful to have a good friend to share my life with, and I have been very happy with our friendship.
I'm not sure the general public is aware of ISTJ's general reliability and reliability of their financial management, which is great. There's also a bit of mystery around ISTJ's emotional life -- people might think they're cold and emotionally detached, but that's not true. They're just not very expressive or demonstrative.
The only thing I'd say about ISTJ men is that they tend to be very traditional in their thinking and thus might not be as 'in touch' with the modern world as other types. I think they also tend to take their role as breadwinner for the family seriously.
I think one of the things that makes ISTJ relationships work is that they are stable and stable relationships -- which means they're not likely to cause people to feel trapped. I think sometimes ISTJ men can be too supportive and too generous.
