    INFJ

    INFJ (5w6)

Stephen Merchant personality type is INFJ, a tertiary narcissist. The last thing you want to do is use a character as a device to make a point about INFJs. However, because the INFJ personality type is full of contradictions, there are times when INFJs find it necessary to manifest the negative aspect of their personality. In doing so, they will play the role of a secondary narcissist.

Secondary narcissists are character traits that INFJs tap into as a means to survive in a world that doesn't understand them. The goal of secondary narcissism is to use it as a tool to manipulate people around them and to get what they want. However, the downside is the INFJ's masochistic tendencies and tendency to be used and abused by others.

Secondary narcissism manifests itself in two ways:

The INFJ is selfish and self-centered. They believe they are above everyone else and that "rules" don't apply to them. They may go as far as to use their secondary narcissism as a means to bully other people around them. The INFJ believes themselves to be superior and above everyone else.
