After the apocalypse, he became more level-headed and less pessimistic; he is now more logical and less emotional. He also expresses more emotions, which helps him to relate with other people. Although he appears to be logical, he is still rather emotional, as shown in his near-death experience, when he cried for his friends, for the first time in his life. He is also very loyal to his friends, as he would have risked his life to save Sam's life during their first encounter.
After being resurrected, Castiel's personality changed drastically, as he is now more emotional, but not as much as Sam. He is also more humorous and sarcastic. His humor has made him the same way as Sam, who is very humorous. He also took an interest in human females after meeting Lisa Braeden.
