They are direct, decisive, and very efficient. ISTPs don’t waste a lot of time trying to figure out a solution to a problem before they go about doing something about it. They simply get to work. They have a strong preference for action over contemplation. They want the “problem solved” so they can move on to something else.
That is why ISTPs are often very successful as entrepreneurs. They have a “get it done” mentality, and can often get things done simply by doing it. They don’t have time for other people’s problems. That is not to say that ISTPs don’t have empathy – they just don’t have time to give other people a chance to solve problems.
