According to this personality type, I can definitely see that he was easily influenced by other people, to the point that he was willing to betray his country. His personality type also fits with his attitude towards the system, because he thinks he is above the law. For this reason, I don’t think it was illogical for him to go on the run.
SJW Critique
However, if we look at the SJW critique of the movie, we can see that many people feel that he is an extremely sympathetic character, who was only doing what he thought was right. This is because he is a SJW, which means that he identifies with the marginalized groups in society, and sympathizes with their cause.
