No Sense of Humor personality type is ISTJ,” I’m a bit baffled, “how so?”
She points out that ISTJs only have a 6 percent chance of being that way. Of course, this type is not “bad” per se, but simply less likely to be funny.
“Why do you think that is?” I ask, since I’ve never heard of this before.
“Well,” she says, “they usually have very serious, serious personalities. And humor is very subjective, so they tend to be less funny or less funny-making, even if they are really really good at it.”
Ah. This made a lot of sense. I was never really sure whether my jokes were funny or not—I myself have often found them to be not so good—so I thought it was just my own sense of humor failing me. But I guess it is true that humor does come from a subjective point of view, and ISTJs are not so likely to find it funny. And that was interesting to me!
