Techo personality type is ISFP, and that ISFJ is the best fit for him. While this isn't the best thing for his love life, it's the best thing for his career.
The other thing that really bugged me was his insistence on not becoming a doctor. I know he wants to be a doctor, but he gets too caught up in the idea that he has to have a specific profession, and in this case, it's at the expense of his health. I don't think he realizes how much stress his decision will have on him.

That's exactly how I felt about this story! I was really blown away by the realism of this story. I've never read a story quite like it. I'm glad I stumbled upon it.
