Other Personality Types
In addition to the sixteen Myers-Briggs types, there are two other personality types which are used in conjunction with Myers-Briggs type preferences to make up a total of eighteen personality types. The two extra types are the Compatibility type pair, which is similar to Myers-Briggs but is slightly more complex, and the Five Temperament Pairs, which are similar to Myers-Briggs but are based on temperament rather than personality type. Both of these supplementary types are best used by mature people who have had some time to develop their own personalities. If you are new to personality typing, I recommend that you stick with the standard sixteen MBTI types for now.
