Randy Adderson personality type is ISTJ, my mother is an INTP. In my opinion, they are vastly different.
My mother is very traditional and takes offense very easily. She is the type that will not put up with no for an answer. My mom is highly idealistic (not in the sense of thinking you can get what you want by being nice- she's VERY idealistic) and has tough moral standards. She is also very tough on herself and will not accept herself when she falls short of her own expectations. She is very knowledgeable about current events, and she is very smart (but not in the sense of being book smart, but in the sense of being wise). She can be very emotional, but will always keep herself composed. She is very spiritual, but not in the sense of being religious- she just keeps herself grounded in everyday reality. She keeps herself healthy through exercise, eating well, and enjoying life for what it is. She's also very creative, and keeps herself occupied with art, music, and crafts. She is also very understanding and compassionate.
My mother is very different than my dad, but I think they are both ISTJs, although she has a lot more "J" traits than he.
