Steve Randle personality type is ISTP, which is the same as mine. I remember thinking, “That’s the guy I want to sit next to in class, at least for the first term.” I walked up to him after class one day, introduced myself, and asked him whether he knew of an ISTP group at UBC. He said he did, so I told him about the group, which he liked. We ended up talking after class for a couple of weeks until he finally said yes to joining the group. After that, I was his “official” contact.
I was also very excited to be seeing the ISTP in the flesh after having read so much about them over the years. As an ISTP myself, I knew that my type is rare and that there were many other ISTPs like me out there. I felt very lucky to have met one who was willing to meet me.
It didn’t take long at all for us to become fast friends. We had some common interests (a lot of movies and games), and he had recently finished his first year at UBC as well.
