The ENFP personality type is a very rare personality type. In a survey of more than 1,200 people, only about 2% of the respondents were found to be ENFPs (Imbu, 2013). There is no official term for this type of personality, but "The Proximate Personality" is often used.
The most common ways that individuals who are ENFPs are described are that they are "introverted" (in the sense of being focused on themselves), "impulsive" (in the sense of not waiting for the best moment to act or speak) and "dynamic" (in the sense of being quick to act or speak). An individual with the ENFP personality type is likely to be eager to try new things, and will often exhibit extreme enthusiasm for all sorts of activities. They are usually very creative and can come up with ideas that others might dismiss as crazy or absurd. As introverted individuals, ENFPs often find it hard to stay focused on something for long periods of time, and they will often tire of boredom after a short time.
