The statue was replete with marble. It was breathtaking. Athena, who many considered the patron goddess of the city of Athens, was sitting on a throne wearing nothing but a tiny G-string. It was wonderful. And I was looking at it with awe. It was something that should be experienced only once in a lifetime.
