The Bell Witch was a witch who terrorized the Bell family in rural Tennessee during the early 19th century. It is widely believed that the alleged witch was a female but nothing definite is known about her. She was said to have been a tall, thin woman with long white hair and a pale face who cursed the family constantly, constantly making noises and noises that sounded like footsteps.
