Foetus personality type is ESTP, say the authors. It is rare for ESTP types to admit to their foetal traits, but ESTPs are known for being competitive, impulsive and spontaneous, and can also be very blunt. They are often overconfident, which can lead them to get into trouble.
To explore what makes ESTPs different, Dr Bongiorno and Professor Traxler conducted three studies. In the first, they asked participants to rate the ESTPs in their group on several traits, ranging from how competitive they were to how outgoing. They found that the ESTP group was rated as more competitive than other personality types, especially when it came to financial competition among other people.
This was supported by a second study in which the researchers asked participants to rate the same ESTP personality types on how much they shared their opinions with others. The ESTP personality types were perceived to be more socially competitive than others.
Finally, the team conducted a third study in which they asked participants to play a game in which they had to share money with an opponent. The researchers found that ESTPs were perceived to be more socially competitive than other personality types.

In human prenatal development, fetal development begins from the ninth week after fertilisation and continues until birth. Prenatal development is a continuum, with no clear defining feature distinguishing an embryo from a fetus. However, a fetus is characterized by the presence of all the major body organs, though they will not yet be fully developed and functional and some not yet situated in their final anatomical location.
