What is the personality type of Godspeed You! Black Emperor? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Godspeed You! Black Emperor from Music B&s and what is the personality traits.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor personality type is INFP, which is the most common type in the world. This is not a bad thing at all, and we can see that in their music, with songs like “you must be born again” and “architecture and the bees”. I personally love this song because it shows what INTP’s can be like when they are not tied down by an inferior function, and what INFP’s can be like when they are not tied down by their inferior function.
The next theme on this album is the death of the individual. They do this through the songs “i am a bird” and “the dream is over” which show a life after death, and “the dream is over, the dream remains” which shows a life after a dream. This includes a lot of imagery that seems to be more symbolic than literal. The concept of life after death is a very common theme in classical literature, from The Odyssey to Paradise Lost, from Dostoevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov to Nietzsche’s The Gay Science.
After this is the theme of isolation.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor is a Canadian post-rock band which originated in Montreal, Quebec in 1994. The group releases recordings through Constellation, an independent record label also located in Montreal. After the release of their debut album in 1997, the group toured regularly from 1998 to 2003. Their second album, 2000's Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven, received critical acclaim and has been named as one of the best albums of the decade. In 2003, the band announced an indefinite hiatus in order for members to pursue other musical interests. In the intervening period, the group was occasionally rumored to have broken up, but finally reconvened for a tour which began in late 2010. Since reforming, they have released four more albums, the most recent being G_d's Pee at State's End! in April 2021. The band has gained a dedicated cult following and remains very influential in the post-rock genre.
