Motörhead personality type is ISTP, and he rightly gets the ISTP: the “I” stands for Introverted, and the “S” denotes Sensing. Lots of ISTPs are riding around in trucks, and Lemmy is no exception. He’s an ISTP.
You can tell that he’s an ISTP by his typical, routine responses to questions. I’m not sure if this is typical, but he doesn’t seem to have a typical response to anything. He’s the guy who drives the truck at a truck stop, and then goes inside to order a coffee. If you ask him about a subject he doesn’t really know anything about, he’ll look blankly at you for a few seconds, then shrug and say “I dunno, I don’t really know much about that.” That sounds to me like a typical ISTP response.
In 2006 he gave a speech at a science fiction convention where he said that if there really were aliens, then they would be listening to rock and roll.
Motörhead (/ˈmoʊtərhɛd/) were a British rock band formed in June 1975 by bassist, singer, songwriter and only constant member Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, guitarist Larry Wallis and drummer Lucas Fox. The band are often considered a precursor to the new wave of British heavy metal, which re-energised heavy metal in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Though several guitarists and drummers have played in Motörhead, most of their best-selling albums and singles feature the work of Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor on drums and “Fast” Eddie Clarke on guitars.
Motörhead released 22 studio albums, 10 live recordings, 12 compilation albums, and five EPs over a career spanning 40 years. Usually a power trio, they had particular success in the early 1980s with several successful singles in the UK Top 40 chart. The albums Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades, and particularly the live album No Sleep ‘til Hammersmith cemented Motörhead's reputation as a top-tier rock band.
