Shape Of Despair personality type is INFP, which is one of the (what I consider the) four 'type' personality types (adding ENFJ and ENTJ before I would only be discussing the personality types of the MBTI).
ENFP is one of the most misunderstood personality types. To understand why, you need to know about my theory of personality types, (the MBTI). My theory states that each personality type is based on four different functions (what I call 'functions' rather than 'traits', because traits are too narrowly defined), which are all based on the same underlying neuro-chemistry, but do not have the same problems.
The four functions are:
1. The first function is sanguine, which is supposed to be 'optimistic, easy-going, social', etc, etc. The MBTI says that this is the healthy version of this function, being the opposite of introverted, or more precisely, being extroverted ('moody' or 'vain'). The unhealthy version of this function is introverted, which means that the brain has problems with recognizing the world as it is. This person has problems taking in new information, and doesn't see things as they are.
