INFPs are often misunderstood as trying to “suck up” to others or be “fake” or “phony.” This isn’t true. INFPs are usually genuine and honest people who genuinely want to be liked and accepted. They just don’t know how to do this in a way that makes sense to most people. Most of the time they don’t even understand what they are doing, and they may even do things repeatedly and repeatedly again without knowing why.
