I was ten years old and had just been diagnosed with a rare blood disease. I was given a 1% chance of survival and told that I probably wouldn’t live past the age of 18.
My parents were both INFJs and they knew that this information would heavily influence my mood. They wanted to know what it was like not to be myself and I was happy to tell them all about it.
I remember saying how sad I was to be missing out on the fun parts of life that others take for granted. I was eager to share how I felt about my disease and how much it changed me.

The band is best known for their 2006 single "Face Down" from their major-label release Don't You Fake It and has released five studio albums to date. The current members are Ronnie Winter (lead vocals), Joey Westwood (bass), Josh Burke (lead guitar), Randy Winter (rhythm guitar) and John Espy (drums).
