Tindersticks personality type is INFP, and while he has some INFP characteristics, he is definitely an ENFP, and was probably born with the combination of both the Se and Fi functions.
I'm not sure how he knows more than I do about these things, but I have to trust him on this because he has run his own experiments. The fact that ENFPs are so often assumed to be INFJs is one of the reasons why he started writing the blog in the first place.
As you can see, at one point I thought myself an INTJ, but that was just a kind of shorthand for my ENFP preferences. If you are an INFJ who thinks that ENFPs are always INFJs, you are missing the point. Although I have no problem with INFJs who are ENFPs, I do have a problem with people who think they are INFJs because they are ENFPs.
INFJs are much rarer than ENFPs, but they are still much more common than INTJs. What makes an INFJ an INFJ? Like any type, there are traits and preferences that make each one stand out.
