Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an ESFP. Mozart’s signature gift was for music. He wrote out his compositions on paper, turning them back to his father for correction, who was a violinist himself. This made the young Mozart’s task easier because he was already fluent in the language of music.
Life for the young Mozart was not easy. His father lost his job, and wrote to his mother that their home was now in danger. Mozart’s mother had little money, and could not help much. She sent her son to his grandfather, who was an even worse situation than his father.
Mozart was now living with his grandfather, who by now was demanding money from his grandson for his support. Mozart had to scrape together whatever he could to survive. During this time, his father died. Mozart’s grandfather continued to demand money from him.
But this was not enough. His mother had asked the local church for help, and they agreed to hire Mozart as an organist. He was now earning money which he sent home to his mother.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, baptised as Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart, was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical period. Born in Salzburg, in the Holy Roman Empire, Mozart showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty, embarking on a grand tour. At 17, Mozart was engaged as a musician at the Salzburg court but grew restless and travelled in search of a better position. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was dismissed from his Salzburg position. He chose to stay in Vienna, where he achieved fame but little financial security. During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas, and portions of the Requiem, which was largely unfinished at the time of his early death at the age of 35. The circumstances of his death are largely uncertain, and have thus been much mythologized.
