Kuwana Gou personality type is ISFP, which fits him quite well. He is an introvert, but an extrovert inside his own mind, certainly not someone who is a loner. He's an artist who enjoys being creative and skilled, but he is not a person who is driven by his creativity to a degree that would exclude any sort of social interaction. He likes to know people, and he enjoys talking with them. I think this is one of the reasons why he is not as good at making friends as some other types are. But I think he is finally learning to accept the fact that people are just that: people, and he won't be able to do everything he wants to do (including making friends) if he tries to push other people away because it makes him uncomfortable.
He has no problem with distance at all, though. He can be completely distant when he needs to be, and he can invite people to get closer when he wants them to. He just needs to be able to recognize that people need space sometimes, and that they're not always going to want to get close to him.
I think that if Kougou had been an artist or something like that, it wouldn't have been a bad match.
