They tend to excel at things that would be considered “nerd” jobs, such as engineering, philosophy, writing, and software. They have a very intense drive to know the truth about something, and will usually go to extremes if they feel that something is not being adequately explained.

    INTJs need a lot of time alone to be able to think clearly and to find their own answers. They need a lot of room to work out their thoughts, and they need time to come up with an answer before they can truly accept it. They also tend not to like to present their ideas unless they have been fully tested and thoroughly researched.
