    INTJ

    INTJ (XwX)

Thomas Cromwell personality type is INTJ, or an intellectual. He is a man of reason and logic, not a man of passion.

Cromwell was a brilliant man, yet he was also a pious man. His religious devotion was a key part of his personality, and one that would become a central aspect of his life. But his religious devotion was not the only thing he could be passionate about. Cromwell was passionate about politics as well. He was passionate about politics as an advisor to the king, and as a man who sought to influence the course of English history.

Cromwell was a passionate man, but he was not a truly passionate man. This is the difference between an INTJ and an ENTJ personality type. INTJs are quite passionate, and ENTJs are always passionate. If you asked me, I would say that Cromwell was perhaps a bit more passionate than an ENTJ, but not as passionate as a true INTJ.

Cromwell’s passion for politics would lead him to make some rather rash decisions. He became too involved in politics, and made some bad choices regarding his personal life as well as his political life.

Thomas Cromwell, was an English lawyer and statesman who served as chief minister to King Henry VIII from 1534 to 1540, when he was beheaded on orders of the king. Cromwell was one of the strongest and most powerful proponents of the English Reformation. He helped to engineer an annulment of the king's marriage to Catherine of Aragon so that Henry could lawfully marry Anne Boleyn. Henry failed to obtain the Pope's approval for the annulment in 1534, so Parliament endorsed the king's claim to be Supreme Head of the Church of England, giving him the authority to annul his own marriage. However, Cromwell subsequently charted an evangelical and reformist course for the Church of England from the unique posts of Vicegerent in Spirituals and vicar-general. During his rise to power, Cromwell made many enemies, including his former ally Anne Boleyn. He played a prominent role in her downfall. He later fell from power, after arranging the king's marriage to German princess Anne of Cleves.
