Utashima personality type is ESFP, and the -tsugi- is a bit of a throwback to the ESFP's "tsugi-tsugi" side. While I'm not a fan of the modern "tsugi-tsugi" (and I'm extremely, extremely biased against it since it's essentially a re-imagining of an old-school ESFP's "snowflake" side), I'm a fan of the original ESFP's "tsugi-tsugi". (I also think that "snowflake" is a bad way to describe the ESFP's "tsugi-tsugi", because it makes it sound like the ESFP is allergic to reality and therefore sees the world in a distorted and biased way—which, sure, it can be and often is, but that's not what ESFPs mean when they say "snowflake". I've certainly had my share of "snowflakes", but I'm not allergic to reality. I'm just not terribly keen on it.
