The study also found that people who scored high on the Honesty-Humility dimension of the Enneagram had shorter telomeres than those who scored low on this dimension. This finding suggests that the more people prioritize honesty and integrity over other values, the less likely it is that they will experience accelerated aging and shortened telomeres.
“We were not surprised that openness to experience was associated with longer telomeres,” says Dr. Nieves.
