Mike Ma personality type is ENTP, or The Mastermind. In the book, Ma described how he would sleep on the floor of his mother’s apartment because he wanted to be closer to her, and his father. One day, when he was playing with his friends, the father came home and threw him out of the house. He described how he reached out to his mother for comfort, but she turned him away. He went to live with his friend’s family, also leaving him with nothing. He spent his days sleeping in the park, and having no money for food or lodging, or school.
Eventually, he told his mother that he wanted to be an actor. She was outraged, telling him that acting was not a good career choice. He became angry, and decided to break into her apartment. He entered her bedroom, and began to take out all of her clothes. He put them over himself, and left the apartment.
He later confessed the crime to his mother. She was shocked. She apologized, said she had been wrong in what she had said about his choice of profession, and they reconciled.
