The book is a deeply disturbing story about a man's inability to keep a job, a home and a family together. It is a story about a man who will not bend his moral code, even when it will cost him his family and friends, and eventually cost him his own life.
I love this book for the same reason I love The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Books that evoke real emotion from the author are few and far between, and it is nice to be able to have that kind of connection with a book.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good read that makes you feel something deep inside, almost like a physical ache in your heart.
