He was the longest ruling Ottoman Sultan after his predecessor Suleiman I. He ruled from 1693 to 1704 and again from 1757 to 1774.

    Mustafa I was a very tolerant and compassionate ruler and he wanted to preserve and protect the Ottoman Empire at all costs. He was a very hard working and pious person and he always took care of his people. He was one of the most successful leaders in Turkish history.
