"It's a nice combination of being caring and empathic, but also very clear-headed," he said. "It's not to the point of being a perfectionist or a workaholic, but when you need to prioritize, you know what to do."
Fung's mother, who is from Hungary, was an ex-nun who taught her son about Buddhism and vegetarianism. He has a younger brother, Sam.
Fung said he runs in the morning to get his caffeine fix, then works out in the afternoon. He has a few side projects, including one film he's helping to produce called "Boy Wonder."
He also hosts a music show on Baltimore's 88.7 FM, "City Sounds."
Fung is single and doesn't have any children. But he said he's been open to having kids in the future -- if they're raised in a "spiritual way."
"Even if I never have kids, I feel like I've been given something that is important to me," Fung said. "I think everyone should have that.
