Mr. Ping personality type is ESFJ, which is also the most common personality type among the 5,000-odd employees at the bank, says a report by a consulting firm, Accenture.
Mak Yong Nam, a consultant at Accenture, says the bank has a strong ESFJ management style.
"The ESFJ is a warm and caring person who feels responsible for others and wants to help them. He is a team player who works as a group and will do what he can to build a better work environment," said Mr. Mak.
Mr. Yang, 28, said he has been at the bank since 2004 and his experience is that the ESFJ type is more of a "team player."
"In general, it has been good to work here as the ESFJ type is often on top of things and tries to keep things running smoothly. The ESFJ type also has a good sense of humour and likes to make others laugh," said Mr. Yang.
The bank's ESFJ style is also reflected in its corporate culture where employees are expected to be friendly and work together as a team, Mr. Mak said.
