So, back to the book. I’m not sure if I should give it five stars or if it should be four, but after mulling over it for a while, I think the story was well-written and perfectly paced to fit in with young kids. The story goes like this:
First, there’s Jamie, who takes the stage at the school’s Christmas pageant. He has an amazing solo act where he reads a passage from The Story of Ferdinand. This is where he gives the audience an idea of his personality type.
Next, there’s Sam, who has a really sweet dance that he choreographs himself. It’s very cute.
Then there’s the bit where they come together for the end-of-the-year play, which is an adaptation of The Snow Queen. It’s part of the story, but also serves as a chance to see the four characters interact with each other, which is really important for kids to see.
Finally, there’s the group of adults who are trying to get the kids to do the play properly.
