Helena Manning personality type is ISFP, and I absolutely adore her. I think she's the perfect character. She's smart, resourceful, and loyal. But what I love most about Helena is her honesty.
In the very first episode of the show, when she runs into a man who she was in a past relationship with, she bluntly asks him if he's a serial killer. She confronts him in a way that's wonderfully blunt and honest, and she gets a very clear answer.
But when she's in the middle of a conversation with a fellow math student, she completely drops the subject because she doesn't want to be rude to her friend. There's nothing wrong with being honest, but sometimes you have to be considerate of other people's feelings.
In the same episode, she tells someone very clearly that she's uncomfortable with them asking her about her boyfriend. She even offers to tell the truth about him if they don't want to hear it, but they insist on knowing more about him. They go on to find out that he was a drug addict and doesn't even know that Helena is in a relationship with him.
It's just a brilliant way for her to be honest without hurting anyone's feelings.
