The term “Rational” is often used interchangeably with “Logical” in regards to the ISTJ personality type; however, this is incorrect according to the MBTI. The ISTJ personality type is not logical in all situations. In fact, the ISTJ personality type is very reliable and follows through almost 100% of the time. They also tend to be very logical in their decision making process and they avoid making decisions that they will later regret.
