    What is the Enneagram?

The Enneagram is a nine-point personality type system that was created by author and mystic G.I. Gurdjieff between 1915 and 1926. The Enneagram is based on the theory that there are nine types of people, each with a different combination of three of the eight core personality traits. In this way, it's similar to the MBTI, with some key differences. The Enneagram traits are not as clearly defined as the MBTI traits, and do not always work in a linear way. For example, a person can have a mix of two different Enneagram traits within one core type. Likewise, a person can have a mix of two Enneagram traits from two different core types.

In addition to being a type system, the Enneagram is used as a tool for self-awareness and self-improvement.

Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed was a Hungarian noblewoman and serial killer from the family of Báthory, who owned land in the Kingdom of Hungary. Báthory and four collaborators were accused of torturing and killing hundreds of girls and women between 1590 and 1610. Her accomplices were put on trial and convicted, whereas Báthory was confined to her home. She was imprisoned in December 1610 within Castle of Csejte, in present day Slovakia. In 1989, writer Michael Farin stated the accusations against Báthory were supported by testimony from more than 300 individuals, some of whom described physical evidence and the presence of mutilated dead, dying and imprisoned girls found at the time of her arrest. Stories describing Báthory's vampiric tendencies, such as the tale that she bathed in the blood of virgins to retain her youth, were generally recorded years after her death, and are considered unreliable.
