What is the personality type of Ming? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Ming from A Brighter Summer Day 1991 and what is the personality traits.
Ming personality type is INFP, whose version of the “caretaker” role is sometimes called “The Sensitive One.” I’ve heard INFPs called “The Grinch,” “The Waiter,” and even “The Bride of Frankenstein.” I think this is a little unfair – not to give the INFP too much credit – but it does give us some insight into the general idea of the caretaker role.
INFPs are not necessarily the Grinch or the Waiter – they are sensitive and caring individuals who don’t necessarily want to be in charge of people or things. They don’t like conflict and prefer to be in a supportive role. The caretaker role allows them to connect and support the people and things they care about and they do this without taking on too much responsibility.
INFPs can be so good at this that they may seem like the perfect new mom or dad, but they just can’t handle it. It is hard for them to do what they need to do to be a good caretaker and it is even harder for them to let go of those responsibilities.
