Estela is the younger sister of Sofia Dominguez , and was close to her before her death. However, she lost a great deal of respect after Sofia did not want to help her search for their mother. When Estela visits Sofia in the mental institution, she states that she did not know who Estela was, and therefore did not care about her. Estela did not know who her mother was, and blamed a man for her death. She demanded from him, where she had been all these years, and became hostile when he did not give her the answer she wanted. She attacked him, but was stopped by a guard. Later, Estela also thanks Sofia for giving her a good life, but states that it wasn't enough to save her from what she saw in the future.
