Everett Aleister Rourke II was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but rather grew up in the rough neighborhoods of Detroit Michigan. His parents were married for almost twenty years before they divorced. During this time, he never knew his biological father.
Rourke was raised by his mother who worked as a domestic servant. He had two younger brothers. When he was young, he spent his time selling drugs, stealing cars, and being involved in fights. At the age of 15, he was arrested for possession of a firearm.
Rourke was eventually jailed for five years. While in prison, he started learning about acting. He was released on parole in 1996. He went back to school and graduated from Henry Ford Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Arts.
