When she first started, she thought the game would be “just another stupid video game.” But she liked the grittiness of the earlier titles. She also liked how polygonal the game was.
“It was like playing Super Mario Brothers on steroids,” she says. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’m playing a video game like this? I had no idea that I would like it. I was like, ‘Cool!’ I’m an ex-wrestler, and I had some good friends in the game. We had a good time. It was like my own little personal little world for me.'”
Reneé is also an animator. She had some technical skills, which she used to create the female characters of DOA5LR.
