Metroid personality type is ISTP, which is one of the 16 types of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a personality assessment commonly used in counseling and career development. They are most likely to be found in the military, particularly the special forces.
In a study conducted by researchers from the University at Buffalo and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, ISTPs were found to be more “anti-social” than other introverts. They tend to be further from the social norm, and therefore less tolerant of those who do not fit the mold.
In the study, ISTPs were found to have a higher tendency toward an “antisocial” personality.
“There is a good chance that they don’t fit in very well with their normal group of peers,” said Steven F. Heine, Ph.D., professor at UB, according to a UB press release. “They might be perceived as weird or antisocial, and if they are, they may even be shunned by their peers.”
