Kitano Ren personality type is ISTP, so I can safely say that he is not an ISTP.
I would also like to point out that he is not an ISTP. In fact, I don't think he is even a type. He's an conglomeration of all the different types that could possibly fit into the ISTP category. He has a lot of characteristics of the ISTP, but he has some characteristics that do not fit into the ISTP category. His abilities, I believe, are mostly based on Ni (and Te) and Te. He is a very calm person and unafraid of other people's opinions, because he doesn't see them as important and does not care what others think of him. To my knowledge, he does not have many Ni traits, and he doesn't use Ne for anything other than his gun, which is pretty much the only "Ni" thing he has. Other than that, he is simply a very cool guy who has a lot of skills, but they're all based on Ni and Te. He doesn't have many Ni's inner conflicts; he doesn't have any major Ni issues that I know of.
