Yvaine personality type is ISFJ, and uses this to her advantage. If she tries to be aggressive, she falls into the trap of becoming overbearing and trying to control everyone. I once said that she reminded me of a mom. If you give her a good reason (like helping her get out of a bad relationship), she’s very supportive and helpful. But if you don’t do that, she can get very toxic and try to control or manipulate people.
You can see this in her relationships with other characters, and in her relationships with other characters in this novel. She gets very possessive and controlling of people and things around her, and uses charm and flattery to get whatever she wants. She’s very insecure and vulnerable because of her low self-esteem. She has a hard time trusting people and doesn’t think they’ll be there for her when she needs them. Just like other ISFJs, she’s very sensitive to other people’s feelings and is very caring about their well-being.
Her relationship with Tanith is interesting because Tanith has a different personality type than her. Tanith is ENTJ, which is very different from ISFJ.
