I'm not sure that the way I'm describing this is exactly accurate, but here's what I'm getting at:
The ENFP is a very active and spontaneous extrovert. The ENTP is a very analytical and introverted extrovert. The INTJ is a very analytical and introverted extrovert. You are an INTP, which means you are a very analytical extrovert. You don't quite fit neatly into the ENFP or INTJ boxes, but your extroversion and introversion are just as pronounced, if not moreso, than either of those two other types.
As such, when you're talking with someone (anyone, really) who is not an INTJ, you tend to come across as very confident and bubbly. This is because you have an extroverted personality type that matches the ENFP and a very introverted personality type that matches the INTJ.
This is not a mistake on your part. It's just how you naturally come across to others.
