Dax personality type is ISTP, so he’s focused on his own needs and ideas. If a person is a true visionary, a true leader, a true visionary leader, they only look to their own needs and ideas, and let others have theirs. I don’t see how that would work. A visionary leader wouldn’t be a visionary leader if he was looking to his own needs and ideas, or if his vision was just for himself. It has to be for the good of everybody.
I think the biggest problem is that we don’t have any visionaries anymore. That’s what we need. We need visionaries, we need people who can see the future and make it happen. But we don’t have any visionaries anymore, and we’re getting worse and worse and worse.
It’s hard to tell what the future will look like. There are some very strong indications that we may end up with a giant new space empire on the moon, as some sort of base of operations, as some sort of space police force.
Dax was a recurring character in the first and third seasons. He was one of the Delinquents sent to Earth to see if it can support human life. Unlike most of the Delinquents, he had been imprisoned for the far more serious crime of murder. He was employed by Commander Shumway to assassinate Bellamy Blake, after the latter had failed to kill the Chancellor. Dax was killed at the end of Day Trip, after being stabbed in the neck by Bellamy.
