Later when I was older, I met another boy, who also said, “I like you because you’re different.” This time, I felt confused, because I didn’t know what he meant. I thought that he must have been talking about a different girl.
Then, finally, I met a girl, who was also the only one who said, “I like you because you’re different.” This time, she did it in a way that made me feel special and different from everybody else.
